iPhone: free on the App Store
On iPhone, GlowCamp is no longer a beta. Download it from the App Store as usual, or search there for “GlowCamp”.
What can GlowCamp do?
Travel app for everyone who camps: tent, van, motorhome or caravan.
- Fog map Records your route automatically via GPS and permanently uncovers the areas you have travelled, across all trips.
- Evening diary A short reminder with 2 or 3 questions about the day, no need for long text. When you arrive at a campsite or pitch, the app asks whether you want to write something about the place in your diary. In the end, a trip review with real driving data is created automatically.
- Vehicle file Extra for campers with a vehicle: several vehicles, maintenance dates, automatic mileage update at the end of a trip.
- Dart throw Destination suggestions (campsites and stopovers) with adjustable radius and country filter, preferably in areas that are still unexplored on your map.
- Checklists Templates for packing, departure and return, plus notes on country rules (e.g. vignette). They are being expanded continuously. If an item is missing, tell us via feedback.
- Trip planning with stops Set stops and a destination, look at the upcoming stops on the way, reorder or skip them. The way home can be chosen as the destination or switched off.
- Private place rating Stars, amenities, price and notes for campsites and pitches you visited, on your phone only.
Privacy in detail
Local by default, cloud backup only on request, no account, no ads.
- No GlowCamp account, no sign-up. All trips, legs, photos and diary entries are stored locally on your phone.
- The cloud backup is optional (your own iCloud or Google Drive) and not active automatically.
- For maps, place search, routes and campsite data, the app queries external map services and our map server. Only what the request needs is sent (such as a map section or a search text), never your saved trips.
- In the app there are no ads and no analytics or tracking services from third parties. This website only measures with your consent (Google Analytics).
- The feedback form in the app sends only category, title and message, without name, email or location.
In detail in the privacy policy (German).
Feedback
GlowCamp is free, on iPhone and in the Android beta. Honest feedback, including critical feedback, helps us most.
Best directly in the app: Profile → Help & feedback. Or by email to support@glowcamp.de. Especially helpful: under “Opinion”, briefly tell us whether you would keep using GlowCamp and what is still missing.
